Kokeshi Doll Creative Japanese Sosaku by Suigai Sato "Kotobuki"
This kokeshi is designed to keep umbilical stum inside the kokeshi's body.
It is because of our Japanese custom, we keep the baby's umbilical stum for memory to remind of this happy event.
Some of kokeshi are made for this purpose.

He is one of the best Sosaku Kokeshi artists, who is famous for his stylish design.
Since he won the Japanese prime minister kokeshi award in 1966, his works become valuable and got hard to find for an affordable price.
This kokeshi is his original Sosaku style which he developed after learning Japanese painting from his master "Suiun".
This is a great chance to own award winning artist's masterpiece.
