Kokeshi doll by Issetsu Kuribayashi "Sasame-Yuki" Japanese Vintage Traditional
This kokeshi was made by a creative kokeshi artist Issetsu Kuribayashi.
He won the most prestigious award "The prime minister award" twice in 1968 and 1969.
Also, he got many awards not only in Japan but also in the USA and Germany.
Sasame-ame means "Light snow" in Japanese.
The unique process on the surface presents the beauty of the snow.
