RARE Kokeshi Doll by Hajime Miyashita "Kanbai" Creative Japanese Vintage Handcraft
This rare kokeshi was made by the master Hajime Miyashita who had won kokeshi competition so many times.
He has gotten the prime minister award twice in 1977 and 2000.
His works are always very valuable even in the secondhand market Japan.
The Chinese character for "kan" means joy, and the Chinese character for "bai" means plum.
It is a work that expresses the joy of the arrival of spring.
