MASTERPIECE Kokeshi Doll Japanese Modern Creative by Issetsu Kuribayashi "Sakura"
This kokeshi was made by a creative kokeshi artist Issetsu Kuribayashi.
He won the most prestigious award "The prime minister award" twice in 1968 and 1969.
Also, he got many awards not only in Japan but also in the USA and Germany.
This Issetsu's work is named Sakura.
As you know already, sakura means cherry blossoms.
This kokeshi depicts the beauty of spring.
It is very hard to get this super rare kokeshi in this excellent condition.
