Yoshio Otani is one of the most skilled creative kokeshi artists.
He even has gotten the most prestigious award "prime minister award".

As you can see in the pictures, this kokeshi is very meticulously carved and painted.
The cranes and tortoise shell pattern are drawn on her kimono.
Cranes and turtles are happy creatures that mean longevity in Asia.
